Aarti Gumber found her way to Hellam Varon in 2017 by a circuitous route that has taken her from her home country of India to Australia and finally to the U.S. She began her career in banking in India and made the switch to public accounting in 2012 after obtaining her Masters in Taxation from the University of Washington. She is passionate about wanting to be an advisor to her clients and feels that public accounting gives her this opportunity. “Public accounting allows us to make a difference for our clients in so many ways”, Aarti comments. "Only accountants can save the world through goodwill and reconciliations," she laughs. Aarti particularly enjoys working with clients through the challenging landscape of personal and business finance.
Whenasked why Hellam Varon, Aarti immediately replies, “This firm cares for its people. I felt right about the people here. It is the softer aspects that makes Hellam Varon a good place to work.”
Whenshe is not buried in the details of a client’s finances, Aarti loves exploring the hiking trails of the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Vaneet. Their favorite hikes include Mt. Rainier and Olympic National Park. Her motto is a quote from Carl Bard: "Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending." Well, Aarti, we are so pleased you chose to make your new start with Hellam Varon. We love your spirit!
